Sărmășag (Sărmășag; Sarmaság) is a commune in Sălaj County, Crișana, Romania.

The most important fossil fuel is the area is coal. The commune is composed of six villages: Ilișua (Selymesilosva), Lompirt (Szilágylompért), Moiad (Mojád), Poiana Măgura (Magurahegy), Sărmășag and Țărmure (Parttanya).
